The Cybercrime Detection Angle

Anthropic positioned Claude Mythos Preview as enhancing cybercrime detection. That's a legitimate use case. AML and fraud detection are areas where AI can add genuine value.

But here's the operational reality. What You Should Do Now

Pull a list of every AI tool in use, formal or informal. Find out who's actually using them and what decisions they're driving.

Build your governance structure now: assign AI oversight, document your validation steps, and set up the audit trail, before the examiner comes knocking.

The Treasury's warning to bank CEOs applies downstream. If large institutions face these expectations, smaller broker-dealers and advisers will too. That's how regulatory expectations cascade.
